Upcoming events are below. Some past events are in Archives.
Stay current by joining our email ring.
We hold meetings on the first Tuesday of each
month. We vary the venue, and often have a presentation from someone who has recently returned from some overseas project.
We typically have a couple of regular events during the year:
- a garage sale fundraiser
- a summer picnic
- a Thanksgiving meal for overseas students at RPI
- a holiday party in December at Bob Fakundiny's home
In addition we try and arrange other events, such as happy hour get togethers, and documentary films.
Regular monthly (1st Tuesday) gatherings: Everyone is welcome
- July 1 & Aug 5 - no regular meetings, but do attend our highly irregular summer events - Untangled and our summer outing (below)
- Sept 2 at Christine Dryfus's with speaker... Dave Borton on his work with solar energy and energy conservation.
- Oct 7 - venue TBA, Steve Andersen will present his PC service in Mail.
- Nov 4 - venue TBA, Tim and Tracy will
be back in the area and will hopefully share some of their adventures
in NZ and Australia.
Untangled:
(July 26) Unwind at Sue & Van's while listening to the evening's live broadcast of the Pops from Tanglewood. If you stretch your neck, you might even imagine that you can see Tanglewood from Sun & Van's. Bring a dish to share. See the invitation here, or j oin our email ring to stay posted on details.
Summer outing:
(Aug 16 - 17, 2008) Becky's Grandparents
have
graciously opened their home on Lake Champlain to us. Swimming, BBQ, kayaks and canoes are
available. Some limited indoor sleeping can be arranged, but
there is a huge tent with cots right on the beach. You're welcome
to stay Sat & Sunday, or come either day. Bring stuff for the
grill, a dish to share, stuff for breakfast (if you'll stay) and
