Sue & Van, you certainly hosted a wonderful meeting last evening.  Food, wine, setting all delicious, topped off by the surprise birthday cake and beautiful card with lovely notes.  Thank you all so much.  Of course, having Tim and Tracy there heightened the enjoyment.   We look forward to their presentation next month.

Steve, your presentation was terrific, and it gave us a close look and reminders of why we were in the Peace Corps.  It has been a while since we have had such a presentation by a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer.  Many thanks to you.

Jeanette has generously offered the Gottlieb house for our November meeting, a place welcoming and comfortable for us all.  We did talk about Thanksgiving and I will come up with a list of needs in my next email.

Thanks to Jane Thapa who took the notes, as Diane had an accident and could not write.  It is nice to have Diane back in the fold.  We also have a new member, Kristen Garvin, an emergency nurse who was in Ecuador from '99-'01.  She is still working as a nurse in Maine, but comes back to her husband and house in Cambride half of every month.

All in all, an excellent gathering.  Many thanks to all who were there.
