RPCV-NENY Meeting Notes:  Tuesday June 6, 2008

Notes from Augusta:

We had a delightful, informative and fun meeting at the Hegemans, naturally, and had a chance to catch up with some people we don't often see. Sue Senecah has taken a job in Albany and will no longer have to commute weekly to Syracuse. She has also become a full professor. Sue also announced that she and Van will again hold their UnTanglewood event on July 26. Bill Bhat and I attended last year and it was a roaring success.

Christine Vanderlan and Steve Hoyt were there. Christine is due to finish her master's thesis in August, and deliver their baby in September! Needless to say, she looks radiant.

We were given a show & tell about the Hegeman's solar panels - how well they work, what and when the payback will be and take place, and other pertinent information. David also helped support the information, and told us all to invest our $.50 on the dollar in energy.

Many thanks to the Hegemans for hosting our meeting. So glad they live in Chatham, but wish we could see more of them.

Looking forward to all who will be attending our summer picnic at the Schodack Island Park on this Saturday.

Best, Augusta
