RPCV-NENY Meeting Notes:  Saturday & Sunday, August 15 - 16, 2009.
The meeting was held at Becky's "cabin" on Lake Champlain

Agenda items:
Augusta's Note (aka Executive Summary!)

Hello All,

Many thanks go to Becky and her grandparents for hosting a sweet event at the camp on Lake Champlain this weekend.  Yvonne, her daughter Amber and friend Olivia, Sue and I made up the group with Becky, and my, did we have a relaxed, laid back time.  Delicious, potluck lunch on the deck, swimming off the dock, a delightful production of "A Midsummer's Night Dream" in the park by the lake in Westport - charming and funny, pizza back on the deck, and lots of good conversation.  Sue and I left fairly early on Sunday, but I know the others enjoyed their kayaking adventure.

Our next meeting will be held at Carol & Joe Hegeman's in North Chatham on Tuesday, September 1.  Bob Klein, RPCV Archival Project guru will join us for that meeting, and I am sure we will have lots of attendees.  We all love the Hegemann's place.

October will find us at Sue & Van's house, back in Chatham when the colors should be beautiful.  Rebecca Green Neale will be speaking that evening, talking about her recent time in the Peace Corps.

I am seeking a host  and possible speaker for the November meeting.  All suggestions and volunteer hosts are welcome.

On the first of December, Susan Scrimshaw, President of Sage Colleges, and her husband, Alan Stern (RPCV), will be hosting our monthly potluck dinner meeting at their house - Veil House, in Troy.

Diane has been in the northern wilds of the Adirondacks this summer, but hopefully she will have a chance to update our website with directions and map for the Hegemans in North Chatham.  Hard to believe that the end of August is nearly upon us.

Best to you all,
Augusta
