Some Announcements:

(in that vein, I received a philanthropic opportunity which I will forward shortly).

I'm sure I missed many points, as we had a wonderful meeting filled with sunshine and conversation.  But that's all for now.

Guest Presenter:  On the rebellions in North Africa

We had a wonderful discussion about the current affairs in Tunisia, Libya and Egypt, informed by Hédi A. Jaouad, Professor of French and native of Tunisia.  Professor Jaouad was first introduced to Peace Corps as a result of the Tunisian government expelling the British in the 1960's.  At that time, the country's English classes became the domain of Peace Corps teachers. During his school years, he had several PC teachers and has considered himself a life-time Friend of Peace Corps ever since

... a real testimony to PC teachers!

The take-home-message from
Professor Jaouad's discussion was... the region has reached the tipping point and he doesn't see any return to dictatorship in the near future!
