Here's to Alice Brody, for hosting such a lovely meeting, and for giving us her perspective of Iran through her beautiful photographs. It was an enlightening evening.
It was delightful to have Karen there with Bill. She looks and seems quite well. Karen told me that she has gained an inch of height since her surgeries last summer.
Sue Senecah and Joe gave us their ideas of what we could be doing towards attending the 50th reunion in DC, and the gathering at the Kennedy Library in Boston. Sue mentioned how busy everyone is, and if anyone can make a commitment to take a project to its natural end, that would be great. She can get a proclamation from the Legislature, and she had other ideas that I hope Diane captured in her notes. Earlier, Sue had mentioned to me that Bob has reiterated his committment to form a Resources Committee to inventory and compile a list of what's available to us as resources: materials (printed materials, PC stuff); people's available time and possible funding; possible sponsors; festivals/parades; etc. (That is the broad brushstroke, and I am sure Bob will whittle things down for manageable topics). Joe has been looking into buses and ways to attend the different functions, so we will hear more about that in the near futur e.
As always, many thanks to everyone for the participation, good food, and wonderful company. Aren't we fortunate to be in such a terrific organization. Large thanks also go to Diane Peapus, our web master and note taker at meetings.
All the best,
Augusta
