Dear Augusta,

As you may know, I've decided to run for the NPCA Board. Will you please support my candidacy by forwarding this email to your RPCV friends and the entire RPCV-NENY group. For those who don't know me, I provide a little information below.

I have been active in Peace Corps advocacy for years. I presented workshops on advocacy at the Annual Board meeting and volunteered to serve as the National Advocacy Coordinator until Jonathan Pearson (the permanent director) arrived. While serving as the coordinator I helped develop the Advocacy Training Guide that members can see on the NPCA website today.

I am still involved in advocacy and, together with other members of the RPCV-NENY group, contact congresspersons and senators on PC matters . But now is the time to concentrate on revitalizing the NPCA. Membership is down and finances are critical. As an experienced marketing and business organizer, I can help the NPCA re-establish itself. I can do this most efficiently as an NPCA board member. The National Peace Corps Association is far too valuable an asset to lose.

Members can vote by mail or on line at http://www.peacecorpsconnect.org/2007vote. Just click on "Vote Here" at the bottom of the page. To vote on-line, members will need the votersID they received in the election flyer. The election runs from April 16 to May 16.

Augusta, I thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Terry A AmRhein
